  • Wools natural properties make it the easy clean option for commercial and transportation projects.

Good design includes the longevity of the installation and a project using woollen textiles with its ability to resist soiling enhances that project. Airlines and cruise ships use wool in the toughest of environments, want their rooms and cabins to look fresh for the next passenger. Wool delivers on that promise. Naturally fire retardant wool passes IMO and other fire codes without applying any nasty chemicals and maintains that for the life of the fabric. Wool Looking after the client whilst looking after the planet.

  • New Zealand Wool is very white and takes dyes superbly, even the most delicate of colours.

Growing up in a clean green environment enhances the sheep’s ability to grow a fleece that is both clean and white.

Maxwell Rodgers use a mid micron New Zealand Wool for their throws and upholstery fabrics. Gentle to touch yet provides natural resilience to soiling and abrasion.

  • Wool is the most sustainable fibre. It didn’t start out as a coke bottle to be recycled. No it starts in New Zealand, the home of the world’s best wool, where the sheep are shorn twice a year and after shearing released out into the lush green fields to grow the next fleece for the next season.

Clients looking for a clean green story should look to a wool textile as an integral part of delivering that story. Fully recyclable in its after life wool is gentle on the planet and the guest.

  • The more wool in a room the cleaner the air.

A scientific test using formaldehyde in a test tube with wool in one and polypropylene in the other found that within 30 mins the wool had neutralised the formaldehyde yet in the polypropylene tube there had been no change. In fact it's probably still there whereas the wool has neutralised them. Forever

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) damage your liver and kidneys — but a Wool naturally absorbs and then neutralizes them. A cleaner air and a healthier room..

  • Wool is a natural humidifier.

It can absorb 25 percent of its own weight in moisture. On a damp day it takes the moisture from the air and on a dry day releases it back. These sheep in New Zealand are clever.

  • Most wool fabrics pass most flammability tests (including IMO) without the need for nasty chemicals.

Straight from the sheep’s back the fibre itself has natural fire- resistant properties. It’s great to know that the wool looks after the planet as well as the client.

It would take a fire with heat of over 700 degrees (that’s HOT) for wool to burn — and even then would self extinguish once the flame is removed.
